Macbeth the Brave

I’ve been told it was a bloody battle by one of my soldiers. My warriors and Thanes fought bravely with brave Macbeth leading the charge with Banquo at his side slain the rebellious Macdonwald and fought back the Norwegians assisting the rebels. This comes to me with great timing and is very important news as I am a old King and can not lead my nobleman into battle. That I have a great general that can take my place is wondrous. On a more disturbing note word has spread to me that the Thane of Cawdor has joined the rebels but was captured in the recent battle.

I had great trust in the Thane of Cawdor and thought he was an honest and loyal man. I can see now that I was wrong in judging his character. I shall be more careful in my judgment of people for now on. Lucky for me the brave Macbeth captured the traitorous Thane and I have order him to be executed and all titles to be give to Macbeth for his courage in battle.

Macbeth after this battle and the killing of Macdonwald has shone me that he is somebody I can trust and count on in the future. Giving him the Thane of Cawdor’s title will help show my gratitude towards his honesty and bravery in battle. I think I shall also pay him a visit to further praise him. Also to slightly check if he is the man they say he is. I will find out soon enough.

I have been slain

I felt very angry when I was killed by Macbeth and his wife I couldn’t believe it, I trusted him I made him Thane of Cawdor all this because he wanted to be king it seems like he would do anything to stay king. I also felt sad because I would never get to see my boys have children; I hope that my son’s take care of Macbeth before he gets out of control. I just wish he would have killed my while I was fighting not while I was sleeping and why did he have to kill my guards they didn’t do anything wrong no one would have believed them if they said that Lady Macbeth tried to drug them they had families a wife, children, parents, sisters, brother, and grandparents. I thought I knew him I thought he would be a good thane but I guess I was wrong, now I know not to trust just anyone but I guess that could have been helpful a while ago before I got killed I feel so hurt that he would do that but what’s done is done.

Scotland in Turmoil

It was as I feared, now that I have been killed Macbeth has turned Scotland for the worst. As king Macbeth has become ruthless, his followers are terrified to sleep at night. Murder has become routine in this twisted kingdom. Macbeth has gone as far as killing his best friend just to protect his title. Macbeth has become a monster, he feels no remorse for what he does. He killed Macduff’s family without reason, they were of no threat to him. With all this killing, his followers will start to lose faith and rise up against him. I can only hope Malcolm and Donaldbain are safe. Where I was too afraid of making changes Macbeth has stepped in and took everything into his control. Macbeth is my exact opposite, I feel horrible for trusting him. I should have seen that I was giving him too much power and now he’s abusing it. The only person I can think of able to stop Macbeth now is Macduff, after hearing that his family was killed by Macbeth he will want revenge. I hope this trust I’m placing upon Macduff now won’t fall on deaf ears. If there was ever a time I needed Macduff this would be the most important.

Malcolm Has Surpassed Me

Finally Macbeth has been defeated by my brave son Malcolm. I am so proud of him. He saw through the evil Macbeth and he triumphed over Macbeth. Malcolm was so intelligent; he even tested his generals to see if they were loyal to him. I would never have thought about doing that. I am so glad to see that Malcolm has taken the throne over from Macbeth and is going to start a line of kings once again. Hopefully Malcolm will expand my kingdom to a massive size. One thing that I thought was strange was the fact that Malcolm promoted his Thanes to Earls. This is I found most peculiar. Why would he give land to the Thanes when it takes land away from him? His actions make me wonder if I have given my thanes more land. Maybe if I had given them more land they would not have revolted against me. I am so proud of young Malcolm he is truly the rightful heir to the throne. I see in him what I was missing I am sure that he will be a great king to all of his subjects and hopefully he will be able to end the civil war.
